Best Practices in Design, Implementation and Evaluation of Animal Health Surveillance Systems
Under the leadership of FAO and SAFOSO, the RISKSUR consortium has finalised and published a comprehensive document on best practices in animal health surveillance. The focus is on risk-based and cost effective surveillance of infectious diseases of livestock in the European Union. It covers the whole cycle from planning, design and implementation all the way to evaluation of surveillance systems.
The document contains a wealth of hands-on examples, case studies and recommendations for further reading. This makes it an invaluable resource for all practitioners in the field of animal health surveillance.
